Summer vacation in the fall... At home the weather is terrible, so this is an opportunity to enjoy some pleasant weather.

After a fricking early morning, a rush layover in Detroit we arrived in Las Vegas and picked up our real American Chevy HHR. When we finally arrived at the Palazzo, we had to deal with a reservation that had gonne missing... Not the nicest after a long trip.. Luckily it got resolved and we could rest a bit in our lux ...

Over with the luxary

After 2 nights in a luxary suite it's now back to basics in a simple motel and a burger in a roadside diner. At least 5 out of 4 eat here!

Monument Valley is soooo awesome

This whole trip got to life because we came with the idea to go and see Monument Valley... Today was the day and it was really great. We drove arround a bit in the Chevy and all the practise with MotorStorm paid off....

History lessons in Mesa Verde

Today no stunning views and landscapes, but an amazing piece of history. Buildings at impossible to reach places, including the how and why.. Very educational.

Santa Fe, time for a break

We are in the middle of our road trip and it's time for a little break. We arrived today in Santa Fe and make it a little stop over. To our surprise is the condo we booked larger than our flat at home, so we feel the luxuary again.

Apache Nugget Casino

In the middle of nowhere, set up a tent and you have a Casino to make some money. Shortly after the stop, we got some of our first desert rain.

This is why we love the desert

Just driving around in the desert is just a joy for the eye... Even with some rain it's a special thing to do.. We hoped to see some flash flooding, but the rain was not enough.
